OPUSGLOW was a popular medical spa in downtown Toronto. UPDATE: I say “was” since the pandemic rules shut down many spas in Toronto, Ontario – and this beauty bar was no exception. In 2022 these spas are now popping back up and there is a welcome resurgence in the beauty services industry.
OPTIMIZE: Optimizing content so that you get picked up by search engines was something that this spa owner knew was important. Choosing the right keywords and then optimizing for those keywords made a difference in the traffic to their website as well as social media traffic.
SOCIALIZE: Social media was pivotal in spreading the word about the products and promotions. They understood that using the available channels was their way of growing their audience, and communicating with their clients. It was all about using the soft touch of social media to welcome newcomers and build trust.
MONETIZE: The spa industry typically faces a lot of competition for their promotions. OPUSGLOW recognized that having a retail outlet to promote their products/services wasn’t enough. They had to use the online platform for people to book their preferred service, and also run their promotions online. It was able to rise above the noise of the competition.
Deliverables
Before: We had to build a new website for the downtown population since their other location was many miles away and was a separate entity.
After: In addition to creating a beautiful new ecommerce website, we optimized their web content and designed beautiful graphics for social media posts. Before the pandemic affecting this industry in a profound way – this site was well on it’s way to effectively promoting this spa and it’s services.
