Top 10 Blog Topics Planner and Checklist
By Catherine Maxwell • Optimize. Socialize. Monetize.
It’s midnight, and you’re finally settling down long enough to get some writing done on a blog post that’s due. It feels like you’ve put yourself through the wringer already – and you haven’t even really begun. “What should I write about?” you keep asking yourself. “How do I know people will be interested?” It can be overwhelming.
I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to hit a brick wall and not know where to turn next. But I’ve discovered over the years that if you have a formula to follow, then you’re able to settle down and focus much more easily.
So here is a list of 10 topics that I use as a formula when planning my blog posts over a period of time. Use it for your content management strategy and you’ll be in good shape.
- Share a resource.
- Repost someone else’s post content. (make sure to give them credit)
- Make an announcement.
- Reveal something personal (makes you real)
- Ask a question. Then answer it.
- Provide a special offer (or something free)
- Reply to a question.
- Report on what you’re doing right now.
- Offer congratulations to someone and tell us why.
- Give a case study. Tell their story of success.
You can cycle through this list as many times as you want and you will never repeat yourself. It’s an easy way to trigger new topics and always keep your content fresh.
